Key Indicators of Marketplace Health in GovCon

This session will feature a panel discussion who will identify and unpack key indicators of economic health and industrial base resilience as recent emphases on innovation, commercial content, cost efficiency, and speed of delivery transform the competitive landscape. What are economists seeing? What are potential implications on inflation, workforce, and other measures of economic vitality? What are lessons learned from the broader economy that can be applied in govcon, and what should companies watch for?

This session will provide critical insights into how industry players can innovate intelligently—for the benefit of your company and customer alike.

State of the GovCon M&A Market
Current Dynamics and 2026 Outlook
panel

This session will provide an in-depth analysis of the government contracting M&A landscape, highlighting key market drivers and recent transaction activity. Discussion will cover the impact of federal budget shifts, FAR modernization, contract consolidation, small business policy changes, and evolving priorities in AI. We will also examine how executive orders, agency restructuring, and spending realignments under the Trump Administration are reshaping competitive positioning for both buyers and sellers. Looking ahead, speakers will share a forward-focused forecast for 2026—addressing valuation trends, financing strategies, and the sectors expected to be most competitive in the years ahead.

10:45 a.m.
Integrating for Success in Public Sector M&A

In GovCon and public sector M&A, integration challenges—not financials—often determine a deal’s long term success. This session dives into examples of integration issues (e.g., culture, technology and systems, leadership, workforce) that can derail value creation if left unaddressed. This panel will share examples and missteps from real acquisitions and what buyers must look for and prepare before finalizing a transaction. Panelists will discuss how to identify these friction points, anticipate concerns, and build integration playbooks that retain key talent while maintaining continuity on government programs.
